After taking his diploma in photography at the IED of Rome, Giorgio Cosulich transfered to New York in 1995 where he went to work in a fashion studio PIER 59 STUDIO as assistant to the photographer Marco Glaviano. After two years he leaves fashion to embark on the carreer of photographer of reportage and meet the photographer Santi Visalli who introduces him to the world of publishing and news. From 1997 to today, his work has been centred on themes such as human rights, immigration, and refugees. He has photographed the conditions of refugees in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. From 2001 he has travelled extensively in Africa on personal assignments and projects. His photographs of Africa received a special mention in 2004 at the Roma Doc Festival. He took part in the International Festival of Photography in Rome with personal shows, in 2003 and 2005 ,and he has exhibited in different galleries in Italy and abroad.
His photographs have been publicised by national and foreign newspapers, including Geo, People, Internazionale, L'Espresso, L'Europeo, Max, La Repubblica,
Il Corriere della Sera, Colors, Donna di Repubblica. Currently he lives in Rome and works for the American agency Atlas Press, occupied with news and reportage, with missions in Italy and abroad. He regularly holds courses in
