Young mangers of art galleries are increasing in numbers:
burning with passion for art and fascinated by new entrepreneurs, Nazzareno Trevisani and Pier Luigi Polidori, founders and promoters of the 'Artsinergy Project', have launched the idea of building up a network of exhibition spaces for contemporary art in Italy, (an idea already successfully experimented in America). So far, there is a network, spread out between San Benedetto of Tronto, Bologna and soon in Pavia, Palermo and Rome - to provide centres of communication and promotion both for young aspiring artists and established ones.
This idea was born, with the intention of involving or rather connecting different proposals with the various expressive potentialities of the country, with one eye on the provinces and one on the metropolis today.
Fortified by the concept of a synergy of ideas and experience, the authors of Art synergy are ready for everything; they can adapt easily to any location, be it near Porto Recanati or the interior of a 15th. Century courtyard not far from Piazza Nettuno in Bologna. They are ready to face the big challenge that is now indirectly spoken of, that of proposing contemporary art to a vast public.
The basic idea is this: to make these linked spaces a sort of pipeline (network) for promoting young artists and publishers, transforming these spaces into meeting areas where we can help and discover new talent, and enable those with aptitude and interest to discover both budding and established artists. We read in the program of the preference for a technical and economically oriented organization to administer network spaces in Italy, entrusting to one publisher the responsibility for co-ordinating criticism, ensuring unity and guaranteeing the validity of the project. An authoritative choice of artists and their works may be ensured by the help of experts.
Ammon Barzel, a famous critic, co-operating with his staff of young passionate and centerprising publishers, has been entrusted with the guaranteeing the validity of the project.

Through such dynamism the desire to find new spaces and ways to introduce contemporary art to the public was born. Art, which may often be confused in a large mall of art which is too refined or confined to locations divorced from their principal functions, can now be better catered for. "Art synergy" first opened its doors 18th. June, 2005 at San Benedetto of Tronto, in an open area that was once a depot for fruit and vegetables. So it has founded in Bologna a new exhibition site, and a new source of inspiration for re-launching the idea of Art Synergy.
The inauguration, Saturday 5th. October 2005, in the gallery directed by Giorgia Cisco, was dedicated to the works of the artist Salvatore Emblema (a historic name in Italian art). It was a very evocative exhibition that began by covering the artist's 50 years of experience and later presenting his latest, intense and unthread works of art, executed in his studio of Terzino near Naples.
The aims of Art Synergy are ambitious. Their task seems both grand and popular: on one hand importing a concept, like franchising, for the distribution and selling of the artistic products, to make possible a maximum penetration of the market at home, in Italy. On the other hand offering new opportunities, and training courses complementary to the system, intended for all those who are interested in acquiring specific knowledge, and supplying an adequate organisation for those wishing to invest in works of art (that is, by purchasing them).
There is no doubt at all that the project is interesting for its union of the cultural and entrepreneurial spheres. In Italy these new meeting places are more than welcome; debates, discussions and interactions are possible between people of different experiences. There is always the wish that success be achieved with respect for both what is fascinating and what is sacred in the great profession of the artist.
