THE DIVES IN MISERICORDIA CHURCHThe Church Dives in Misericordia, can be found in the area of Tor Tre Teste a Roma, in the southern outskirts. I went one day when the sun was blue and the winter light blended with the walls, they are also white, creating an atmosphere of absolute abstraction and total annulment of the awareness of the land.The most striking thing, as soon as you enter, is the light. Since always, in architecture, especially in religious themes, light is used as an element to catalyst on the Divine figure.

On th outskirts of Rome inside the Ring Road, on a hill a sits a grey horizontal monoblock, in re-inforced cement, a straight interrupted row about a kilometre long, where an indefinite number of people live. One large single block, developed horizzontally which one glance can hardly embrace. If from a distance it is a single oblong kind of barrier, from close up the long horizontal line is broken into many single bands of windows and ribbons in cement below windows. Read the article>>

The tendency seems seems irreversible - to transform the classical concept of a museum – designed for the exhibition of certain works, into something more sumptuous and scenographic - which captures our interest first for its form and second for its content.
